For over 40 years, Dr. Rick has provided the members of his hometown of Sedalia with natural chiropractic care. His path to becoming a chiropractor started with witnessing his older cousin Ed at work. Growing up, Dr. Rick always looked up to Ed, who was an experienced chiropractor. Dr. Rick was inspired to follow in Ed's footsteps.
A misalignment in the spine could interfere with the body's function by pinching off specific nerves. The corresponding areas that were controlled by those nerve signals would then begin to get sick. This breakdown in function is common when critical messages from the brain to the body can't get through.

I am now 6 months into being a patient at Longie Chiropractic. I can't thank this man and his staff enough for the peace and comfort that they've helped me to regain. When first arriving here I was phase 1, and being woken up out of my sleep at night with throbbing nerve pain. For the first 2 months or so I was on 3 visits weekly. After another 2 months or so I had graduated to only 2 visits weekly, and now am only 1 visit weekly or every other week.
At every step of the way, every single visit, I've felt the progress that his program was achieving. I say all of that to say this, TRUST THE PROCESS. The damage to your body has existed for some time Im sure, so keep in mind that it will take much time to reverse and correct that damage. Go see him and his friendly staff ASAP to get back to a better you!

My husband went there in severe back pain today. He was told by Dr Longie that if he wasn't willing to do several planned sessions that he would not work on him and did not adjust him at all. He did not get billed for today and if he does receive any type of billing we will not pay it. Yes there are times when you require multiple adjustments but some people can not afford to be see at 50 to 100 a pop once to twice a week. I advise you to go elsewhere.

Such a clean and inviting space. The care team deserves a huge shout out for always being so nice and hospitable. Like, the friendliest team ever. My favorite part of my treatment at Dr. Longies is knowing that it's a process. In the past I've gotten adjustments as a bandaid to treat pain. Now Dr Longie and I are working towards correcting the underlying causes of my pain and have a care plan! I'm so excited to be working towards a pain-free spine.

Don't see Dr. longie unless you can be adjusted at a Minimum of once a week. He's right out refused me service today because I haven't been in for three months and I told him that I can't get in once a week. One I cannot afford to be in there once to twice a week nor will my work schedule allow for that and he looked at me and said well that's not my problem now is it. so needless to say I did not get my neck adjusted today.
I do not recommend Dr. longie to anyone he is flat out rude and disrespectful and unprofessional. I left in tears as my neck is out and I'm in a lot of pain and he wasn't willing to adjust me because I hadn't been in in 3 months. And as I was walking out the door he said let me know when you change your mind. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! LONGIE IS A CROOK!

I'm really happy with how my therapy is going with Dr. Longie at Longie Chiropractic. Starting out at my job, I did a lot of heavy lifting and then had a few falls - eventually I was in chronic pain for a good 3 years. At one point, I was on the heating pad every night and had headaches every day. After a couple months of seeing Dr. Longie, I am starting to feel some relief and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Highly recommend if you're over having chronic pain.

Dr. Rick is an absolute miracle worker! I honestly can't say enough about this place. This is only my second month of treatment, and I feel amazing. For the last 3 years I have seen various chiropractors, paying hundreds of dollars, and not seeing any results. My family just moved to Missouri, and based on reviews I chose to see what BackBone of Health was all about.
This is the best decision I have ever made for my health. Their facility is so welcoming, clean, and just an overall extremely professional environment. Cathy is the sweetest lady you will ever meet in your life, and along with Shala, they make sure you have everything you need prior to your services. My first visit I called and wanted to get in that day, my hip was out again (thanks Army.)and I was in so much pain! 20 minutes later I was checking in, receiving x-rays, and Dr. Rick was already working on my treatment plan.
I left in tears, not an exaggeration, because I wasn't in pain anymore. It still blows my mind how such a quick adjustment, can take away years worth of pain. They have very reasonable pricing, especially if you will be receiving many, many appointments such as myself. Don't hesitate to make the appointment, you won't regret it.
