While many massage techniques induce relaxation with soothing and gentle kneading, deep tissue massage involves more intense muscle manipulation. Deep tissue massage therapy is similar to Swedish massage, but the deeper pressure is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. Additionally, this type of massage reduces stress hormone levels and heart rate while boosting mood and relaxation by triggering the release of oxytocin and serotonin.
Though originally designed to help athletes perform at optimum levels during games, sports massage is growing in popularity as an effective treatment for sports-related injuries or limited range of motion. Sports massage focuses on a client's trouble spots, like shoulder soreness after eighteen holes of golf, or a tender hamstring just before a big race.

A few weeks ago I ruptured a disc in my back and was in excruciating pain. I had been referred to Dr. Dolengo from a colleague at work and when I called, Dr. Dolengo was very accomodating from the start. I've been seeing him for about two weeks and I can say - first - my back is feeling much better. This will be a process, but each week I feel better and better. Second, Dr. Dolengo is very attentive, understanding and continues to be very helpful in explaining the issues and the process. Highly recommend!

Dr. William G. Dolengo is an amazing physician, very friendly and works with you and your physical needs to help you to a speedy and fast recovery. Never thought I would be one to see a chiropractor. Had low back pain so bad that I was bent over and could not get in to see an ortho for weeks. Gave Dr Dolengo's office a call (since it was close to home) and he worked me in right away. After the first visit I felt better. A few more visits I was upright and pain free. 1 year later I was experiencing pain with in my jaw-TMJ.
On a whim I called the office to see if he could treat it and he said yes. Each and every visit I see improvement. I have also sent my college athlete son to Dr. Dolengo to adjust his back due to the wear/tear of lacrosse on his spine. He has worked wonders! I highly recommend his chiropractic care.

After suffering from years of chronic lower back pain and migraine headaches, finding Dr. Dolengo has been amazing for me!
