The NUCCA National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association methodology uses only gentle, low force to achieve spinal balance. A misalignment of the 1st vertebrae, referred to as an Atlas Subluxation Complex, exerts pressure on the base of the brain or brainstem. The brainstem controls the tone and balance of all the muscles in the body.

I've had random bouts of vertigo for several years. My most recent one was extremely bad, to the point I could hardly walk. I usually just deal with it until it goes away but my daughter had recommended I go to see her. It was pretty amazing how fast I was feeling better and was able to return to work the next day.

When I went there with my mom for her appointment today, I was waiting in the waiting area with her. The chiropractor comes out from her previous appointment, and the first thing she says to me was "uhm, who are you?" in the most disrespectful voice. My mom tells her that I'm her daughter and I'm just hanging out with her during her appointment, and she says "you do realize your appointment is 45 minutes long, right?".
So whatever, I ignored her and stayed with my mom. She calls my mom back to her room, and my mom tells me to follow, so I get up and as soon as she realizes that I'm following my mom, the chiropractor says "we are doing x-rays so you can't be back here." I leave my mom to go back to the waiting area where her dog is; because she works everyday, she brings her elderly dog to her office with her.
Well about 10 minutes later, my mom comes to get me and we walk into the exam room. Her elderly dog follows me to the room and so I am kneeled outside the exam room, petting her dog. About 1 minute later, she closes the door on me and so I get up and walk over to the waiting area. I then call the little dog to come over to where I was so I could love it up, and she cracks the door open and says "my dog isn't going to follow you and shes not coming to listen to your commands, but you can pet her if you want." I have had it with her rude comments, so I tell my mom that I'm leaving, but I'll be back before she's done, and the chiropractor said "yeah, you can go, I mean, she still has twenty minutes left" and then she rolled her eyes.
I have never met a more disrespectful person in my life before, especially a doctor. I wasn't even her patient, my mom was. She truly doesnt deserve to have her own practice if she talks like that to every patient or the family members of her patients. I hope my mom never goes back.
