By taking a comprehensive health history we can track changes that point to neuromusculoskeletal system dysfunction. A physical and neurological examination performed by the doctor (and diagnostic imaging such as X-rays when needed) ensure an accurate diagnosis. The doctor will then review her findings and report them to the patient with an individualized treatment plan designed to produce the best possible effect.
Scar tissue and adhesions form in the body as a temporary patching mechanism for wounds caused by surgery, trauma or repetitive stress. This scar tissue is made from collagen just like our skin but without blood supply it dies, dries out, constricts and becomes brittle. Scar tissue that is fastened to tissues that are not normally connected is called an adhesion.
Vertigo, or dizziness, affects millions of people around the world each year. In a majority of the cases, vertigo is nothing more than a temporary inconvenience. In some cases, vertigo is a debilitating condition: day-to-day activities must be kept to a minimum due to the severe dizziness. There are many possible causes for vertigo.

I discovered Dr. Kevala through an ad in the paper which described coming to a lunch and learning about the treatment of peripheral neuropathy so I went. She offered 3 free treatments and a discounted physical exam of which I took advantage. I am so glad I did. I signed up for the treatment plan. My peripheral neuropathy symptoms included burning and freezing feet along with some numbness.
I did not expect overnight results as my feet did not get into this condition overnight. My neuropathy was not from chemo or diabetes as many who suffer this condition have experienced but an unknown etiology. I have been under treatment a little over a year and although some numbness remains as do occasional bouts with heat and cold, I would say because I have stayed with the treatment the symptoms that remain do not bother me very much.
I have no trouble sleeping and when I have an occasional flare-up it goes away very quickly. I am thrilled. Also once you are under Dr. Kevala's care, she will help you with any other occasional symptoms you may have (even if they are not related to neuropathy). For instance, my knees have been giving me problems and she has helped me with them. Dr. Kevala is extremely knowledgeable in so many areas. I'm no expert in this.
I can only report my experience and results and my feeling about them. Office staff is also very nice. I will probably continue going for treatment as I don't want to go back to burning and freezing feet. Personally the key for me was not giving up. I highly recommend Dr. Kevala not just for treatment of neuropathy but other issues pertaining to maintaining health.

"Thanks gods" that I had Dr. Kevala to advise me back in the aughts when I had some severe autoimmune episodes and was desperately seeking answers; she was one of the ones in her field who were early to recognize the importance of dietary causes - such as leaky gut - and she steered me in the right nutritional direction. Unlike another chiropractor she didn't try to persuade me to get adjustments for problems which had other causes.
She is one of the most brilliant people I've ever crossed paths with. Extraordinary people like her have the ability to ascertain, and/or the willingness to recognize, fundamental causes. By trying much harder to avoid the things which were the only ones known or suspected AT THE TIME to cause or worsen leaky gut, I managed to get along for many years until, due to aging, it just wasn't enough anymore.
But research over the last few years finally completed my "avoid" list which now includes all GMOs, most lectins, and A1 beta-casein cow's milk in any form. My last two years of relief and contentment have been amazing in comparison with most that came before! In a world where so many medicos don't even bother to ask their patients what they eat, those who do understand how important that is deserve respect and admiration.

Very nice and caring person but made my concussion symptoms much worse (after each of my 3 visits). Her receptionist was not friendly to me and dripped warmth to someone else oozing about coupons, trials and discounts. When I asked about how to qualify for the free visits, discounts, etc., she coldly explained that my treatments were for different things that couldn't get coupons or discounts or free trials. Just from her tone and attitude, I felt like the red headed step child.

Dr. Ruby Kevala is EXCELLENT! I have been going to her for a few years. I am overweight, have arthritis and have a very stressful job so I get tied in knots and out of alignment more than I'd like to remember. She listens and gets to the root of the problem. I have never walked away feeling like I wasn't cared for properly. The young man Travis that helps at the front desk is polite and helpful. I have recommended Dr. Kevala to everyone I know and they have recommended her to their friends. If you are in the market for a GREAT chiropractor look no further.

Dr. Kevala is pretty awesome. Very friendly and always welcoming. She comes in and takes over Dr. Angela Sutter when she is out of town. I worked with her for a bit and I've been adjusted by her several times. Out of all the times I have worked with her, never have I heard a single complaint about her. She's great.
