Our historic Craftsman house in the North Capitol Hill neighborhood was built in 1904 and served as both our home and The Vital Energy Center-Integrative healthcare office. The VEC was a sanctuary, set apart from the bustling and rapidly growing city just outside our doors.People came from across the PNW for patient-focused, compassionate and clinically effective healthcare. Payment for services is due at the time-of-service. We accept cash, check or digital transfer through Venmo & Zelle. We do not directly bill private or government insurance of any kind. If you plan on submitting for insurance reimbursement, we can provide you with a receipt that contains all the necessary information for direct reimbursement from your insurance provider.

Dr. Kohler is helping my body heal in a very significant way from chronic pain to clearing results from a past head injury. He is the most precise and knowledgeable practitioner I have seen in 45 years of going to a Chiropractor. He uses gentle methods to help me regain my body's natural healing cycles and gives me tools I can work on between visits.
It's well worth the time and money it takes for me to travel from off Island to see him. I recommend him to anyone who needs help recovering from past injury, brain fog, body trauma, or chronic pain.

Awesome place! Very relaxing and you can really get away from the daily grind and stress here. And I love it when Dr Kohler and Carolyn take the very best care of you. And made every accommodation to get me in before I moved fill time 2hrs north! And Dr Kohler is amazing. No shocking back or neck cracking which one has to mentally prepare for. Just really good tuning to what your body needs in a very gentle way. And the treatments last. All the better for me when I've lived with chronic pain. Definitely recommend them!

I love the vital Energy Center. I am being treated by Stephen. I was recently in a car accident and I feel so much better whenever I leave the vital Energy Center after treatment from Stephen. I highly recommend going to this particular Center for treatment, chiropractor care and or muscle strain. It offers a calming and relaxing environment. The staff our wonderful I'll have to say one of my favorite things is getting an email always reminding me when my appointment is.

I've never felt more cared for than I have at Vital Energy Center. It's like a mini retreat every time I go-the place is so peaceful. I arrived in chronic pain from a car accident and now am pain free and know how to care for myself better and continue to see Dr. Kohler for regular maintenance. It's truly a holistic care focused center that gave me many tools to enable my healing and continued care.

Doctor Kohler has been very helpful for minimizing my pain symptoms from Lower Lumbar Stenosis. After reading my MRI report he felt that chiropractic manipulation of my spine could be very risky, He prescribed some holistic methods for the most pain relief possible without drugs and I am very happy with the results. The office is lovely with a very calming energy. I highly recommend the Vital Energy Center.

The office is staff is kind and generous with their time. They will explain everything to you fully and take as much time as necessary to get you taken care of, be it scheduling, insurance, or forging a personal relationship. Dr. J is a rock star and will go above and beyond to determine a treatment that will relieve your pain. This group had taken really good care of me in the past. If I need chiropractic care again in the future, my first, last and only choice would be the Vital Energy Center.

Dr. Kohler is absolutely wonderful! The time spent in the clinic has consistently been educational and very relieving. I always leave feeling much more relaxed. Carolyn, Stephen, and the massage therapists have always provided the best services to me, I highly recommend this clinic if you're looking for consistently positive care.

Dr. Jared was the third Upper cervical doctor I saw for chronic neck, mid back and low back pain. I understand the concept and knew that an UC doctor could help. I appreciated Dr Jared's quite demeanor and Carolyn's energy! I have successfully been stable for nearly 1 year now. I visit occasionally to get a check up and am quite happy with my service. I would highly recommend visiting Vital Energy Center. Oh, by the way- Steven is a muscle/massage specialist!

Dr. Kohler helped me manage my osteopenia condition so there was no question whom I would select for recovery from an auto accident. He explains issues clearly and is attentive to your input and concerns. The massage therapists on staff are exceptional and Carolyn is a wizard with appointment scheduling/support. The Center is definitely a place with good energy.

Every visit is so lovely and peaceful. The care of the staff, the doctor and the MLT therapist really make me feel full of energy, love and light. Not to mention how amazing my body feels after treatments. I highly recommend this place of business. They are always there for you when needed. Carolyn goes out of her way to make you feel important.
