I've been a patient of Dr Popowich for more than 4 years, and he has treated me with acupuncture for Lyme disease very successfully. I continue to see him for regular "maintenance" sessions and his treatment always helps me hold my progress. Additionally, he has helped with a lower back injury where I hurt myself in such a way I could barely walk.

After two acupuncture sessions the pain was barely there and I resumed normal life activities almost immediately. Dr Popowich is such a great trouble shooter and gets to the crux of what ails you quickly. I have the utmost confidence in him. Plus, he's always knowledgeable in homeopathic and natural remedies, which I always prefer. All this and he and his staff are super nice!

I went to Dr. Popowich for acupuncture due to the positive reviews. I am recovering from a long journey with breast cancer and have chronic pain. I am in healthcare so i was a but hesitant but decided to try. I am writing this as i wish someone shared this information for me to see prior to my visit. 1. He performed a "Meridian Balance Report" and proceeded to give me 10 pages of results asking if i had any questions.

Totally nonsense report - made no sense based on my health background. 2. He didn't listen and was rushing. I have a very complex background. I felt like a # as he traveled from room to room seeing other patients as he performed acupuncture. 3. There was no explanation for where he placed the needles. It was hard to relax as the walls are thin and you can hear him with other patients. 4.

He put needles in my left arm. I had lymph nodes removed in this arm and he put me at risk for lymphedema. He did not pick up on this - nor did I at that moment. If he listened, he would have realized this. 5. He "cracked" my neck which freaked me out - if i knew he was going to do that i would have told him not to. 6. Since then, I have seen a reputable acupuncturist which was a completely different experience. Shared the Meridian Report is useless, immediately knew not to put needles in my left arm, strategically placed the needles vs. putting them everywhere. Thus, Rec he sticks to his scope and if you are looking for acupuncture - look elsewhere.

Though I have been treated by some very well-known institutions such as the Cleveland Clinic and local doctors it was not until I was under the care of Dr. Popowich that relief was finally felt.
