Where to start. 1.) Secretary is impersonal, cold and condescending. I was so displeased by the secretary's attitude, and that was my first red flag. The first time I came in, she tried to give me medical advice about my issue, to which I told her "I'll let the doctor tell me what's best." She basically told me that I needed to go in-that my issue wasn't going to be fixed-before I even saw Dr. Watson for the first time. how about you focus on scheduling appointments and keep your mouth shut about anything medical-related? 2.) It feels like a one-way street talking to Dr. Gonzo.
If you ask a question, he'll give you a pretty standard answer like "it takes time;" asking anything beyond that feels like I'm getting stared at for wanting to implore further. I did not feel comfortable asking questions. 3.) I recommended someone I know to go in, and their experience was: On the third session, something was adjusted that caused 5 days of excruciating pain and a VERY noticeably crooked vertebrae that had never been there before.
When asking Dr. Watson what may have happened, the answer was basically "it takes time; things moved". this was anything but reassuring; he was short and seemed irritated (I was there). We went to a different chiropractor because of concern that Dr. Watson may have adjusted something incorrectly. Now that we have switched chiropractors, the issue has been resolved and, as professional as the other chiropractor is, he did hint from looking at the.x-rays that something definitely could have been adjusted incorrectly. 5.) Called Dr. Watson ahead of time to cancel an appointment.
Straight to voicemail, never got a call back. It seems like he cares kind of, but we strongly don't believe it's as genuine as we first believed it to be. 6.) For someone that has been in business for allegedly "20+ years, " I was curious why I found such little info on this clinic-and nothing on Yelp (which isn't a big deal). We had high hopes and I have referred multiple people into this clinic, but we will not return.
Between the questionable adjustments from Dr. Watson that left someone I know in excruciating pain for 5 days (something that barely made Dr. Watson blink when we told him-practically zero empathy) and the secretary who comes off cold-hearted and insincere, I will gladly take my business elsewhere; somewhere that doesn't ruin your back and make you feel like a nuisance for asking concerning questions. It was a progressively bad experience! And seriously, secretary, learn some people skills and how to come off genuine-NOT PATRONIZING/CONDESCENDING

Dr. Gonzo Watson is the professional who evaluated me on the part of the insurance company after I was rear-ended by a driver on the I-84 freeway in Portland. I shared my story of intense back pain with him, and to be honest, he completely disregarded it. I am surprised, because during our face-to-face interaction he was somewhat nice and understanding.
But the report he filed with the insurance company read nothing like what we'd talked about in his office. Now I have constant, sever back pain from the car accident, but I can't get treatment because Dr. Watson didn't corroborate my claims in his report. I'm guessing that Dr. Watson takes these side gigs from the insurance company to supplement his primary chiropractic business. It's sad, and I never call people out publicly, but my honest feeling is that Dr. Watson is likely not an ethical doctor.

Truly a fantastic place & and very kind people! I have been having back issues, and finally made the decision to go in and see someone about it. I met with Dr. Potts, and he was very thorough and explained in detail what was going on, and the cause that was likely creating the pain in my back. He was very patient, made me very comfortable, and adjusted me appropriately. Minutes after walking out of their office, i felt much better. I highly recommend BodyDoc Chiropractic and specifically Dr. Potts, and will definitely be going back to see him again. Fantastic experience!
