Working at the United States Olympic Training Center is one of the things that makes Dr. Russell at the top of her game. Unlike conventional medicine, which focuses on disease treatment once it occurs, The Russell Center for Chiropractic & Sports Medicine emphasizes improving your health to reduce the risk of pain and illness in the first place. Most people would rather be healthy and avoid illness, if they could. This is one of the main reasons for the big surge in the popularity of our wellness center.
We teach our patients special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use.
Dr. Sheri Russell has spent her whole life being active and playing sports. Inspired by this passion, she attended University of Massachusetts to earn a B.S. in Athletic Training, her MBA from Endicott College and in 1996 earned her Doctorate in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. Upon graduation, Sheri founded The Russell Center for Chiropractic and Sports Medicine.
I have earned my career in physical health as group exercise instructor for sixteen years, a personal trainer for eleven, and a licensed massage therapist for over twelve years. While training my clients, I began to realize how many of them had sports related injuries and I want to be more effective so I became a licensed massage therapist.
