Sofia Chiropractic has been an established fixture in Lawrence since 1997. In 2013, we moved to our current location, Marston Medical Center - formerly an old mill that was lovingly refurbished to its present beautiful space. The move has allowed Dr. Mark Sofia to enhance his relationship with area medical doctors, who often refer their staff, patients and family members to him for care. At Sofia Chiropractic, we understand that when movement is restricted, quality of life is often diminished as a result.
This was my first experience with a chiropractor and was not entirely sure what to expect. I was in a car accident approx. I have never experienced so much attention and caring to my complaints of back pain, for the first time I felt I was actually being taken care of someone who is invested in helping me get to a better place, thank you!
When Dr. Sofia was a child, he suffered from severe migraine headaches that he would experience weekly. His parents were concerned about the long term effects of continuing to use a medication that was not addressing the source of the problem. They brought him to see a chiropractor who was a good friend of Dr. Sofia's father.
Just like fingerprints or snowflakes, no two individuals are exactly alike. That is why at Sofia Chiropractic, we do not believe that everyone should have the same treatment or that everyone will respond in the same manner. Whether a patient wants manual adjusting or prefers a lighter, more conservative treatment, we offer techniques to suit every person's comfort level. This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust.

I've been struggling with back issues for over 10 years. Today Dr. Sofia made me feel after only treatment. He really cares about his patients. Takes his time to listen to you and works with you to make you feel relief not discomfort. His staff is very courteous and friendly and they are always willing to help you with all your needs. Many years ago after my primary care physician told me that my back pain can be relieved with pain killers and muscle relaxers (!) I sought out chiropractic care to relieve my back pain and found Dr. Sophia. He and his staff have relieved my back pain and have provided me with many years of great care. It's easy to schedule an appointment and there's no pressure to schedule another. I do return occasionally for a "tune up." I highly recommend Sophia Chiropractic!

WOW! My first visit to a chiropractor in a long time. This is not your typical chiropractor office visit. The staff is friendly and professional. The Doctors exam leaves no stone unturned. The Doctor is a very friendly guy who is genuinely interested in helping you. The office area and exam rooms are spotless. I would highly recommend this to anyone seeking chiropractor services.

The best chiropractic experience of my life! The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They remember your name and who you are. The doctor is a very friendly guy who is genuinely interested in your well being. All of their equipment is top notch and all of my alignments were done properly. I have been to many chiropractors and Sophia is definitely far and away the best! I really can't say enough good things about them!

Place was great. The office was clean and very well organized. The music is nice and claiming to enjoy the relaxing massage in a quite dim room. The doctor was really nice and friendly was very alert to my needs for my pain level. The girls who work there are also very nice and friendly. I really enjoy my visit. I cant wait to go back and get my treatments again. I highly recommend this office and the staff really great people.
