Portland Chiropractic Neurology

This place is incredible. Got me in twice now for urgent visits with my low back pain. Dr. Mac is incredible. He really takes the time to understand your ailment and how it affects your life. I have been to other facilities like this and have never felt the quality of care that this office gives. I have also never felt quicker relief. Office is clean and tidy. The staff is all incredible. Would recommend this office to any and all who require chiropractic intervention.

I recently started hyperbaric oxygen therapy at Portland Chiropractic Neurology. Dr. Mac spoke with me first to provide education and answer my questions, as well as to determine the best treatment plan for me. The staff have been tremendously helpful and friendly! David and Tyler have been so pleasant to work with and have answered all of my questions. I am tremendously hopeful for a great outcome and so glad that I decided to pursue it.

Where do I begin? With David, who has to be the best welcome committee for a business ever! He made the entire experience pleasant. He was so quick to respond to any questions I had, kept in touch with me answering questions and scheduling dates, reschedule dates, answering more questions. Then! I had a long phone consult with the doctor. I can't believe the time he took with me to talk about services, explain the process, share research.

When I finally made it in, he did the same in person. Wow! This just doesn't happen, doctors are busy. I just am so impressed. Tyler the tech was awesome too, very friendly, explaining the process and answering questions. Then I wrapped up my visit with another pleasant conversation with David. He just makes my day every time I am fortunate enough to communicate with him. Thank you!

Wanted to start with the good: The staff that helped with treatments were very nice, especially the last gentleman that did the massage for me. He was so kind! But the actual "treatment" plan was not it. I went in for lower back pain that causes my leg to go numb, migraines due to muscle tension in my back, and pain in my shoulder blade that causes my arm to go numb.

I was told during my initial appointment that I had something neurological that was also an issue and I guess they decided to focus on that. I went to two other appointments. The initial appointment I wasn't even adjusted but I think I may have been charged for one, as it was apparently put in my paperwork that I had been adjusted. I went in a week later because I was still in so much pain.

All that was done was a couple drop table adjustments. I've been going to a chiropractor for about 7 years now for all three issues. Just a couple drop table adjustments do not help. As I was checking out, the receptionist was a little condescending telling me if I was coming in for a new issue, I needed to fill out something new? This was not a new issue, it's what I came in for initially and was in my patient paperwork.

I was honestly so frustrated with the adjustment that I didn't catch what they said I needed to do next time I have a "new issue", I just wanted to get out of there. I came back a third time, still no actual adjustment, just drop table and their other treatments. At all three of these appointments, I was asked about my concussion. I have never had a concussion and never mentioned one and am fairly certain I didn't mark that in my new patient forms, but nearly every staff member I encountered said something about my nonexistent concussion.

So maybe that was my neurological diagnosis. I cannot afford to go to three appointments a week for something that is not going to focus on my actual problem. Sill in pain while writing this review, but I will not be coming back here unfortunately.

I've been seeing the team at Portland Chiropractic Neurology for the last month and half as I recover from a neck/head injury from a motor vehicle accident. From the first day I walked into the office the entire team has been so warm, knowledgable and fun to be around. My treatment plan has been holistic and comprehensive and helped me recover quickly from a pretty traumatic experience. I'm grateful for all they've done for me.

I have been struggling with debilitating nerve pain in my right foot since March. This past week I took a turn for the best because of the amazing staff at Portland Chiropractic Neurology. I felt a difference after just one treatment with Dr. Mac. After my second visit, I went from constant neve pain to intermittent nerve pain. After my third treatment, I was pain free!

I can't thank the team at Portland Chiropractic Neurology. The front office staff is very welcoming and accommodating. What impresses me the most is the staff knows your name, they always have positive attitudes, and work as a team to keep the office running smoothly. I look forward to my visits and the great care that I know I will continue to receive with them. So, thank you to everyone at Portland Chiropractic Neurology for making me feel like myself again. You all are amazing!

I have been coming here for a couple months after leaving another chiropractor. I have received excellent, knowledgeable treatment for ongoing neurological issues. The team is great and always welcoming. And I am finally getting result to fix constant headaches and dizziness that was never fixed being treated at other places.

Everyone is super nice and the improvement we have seen in such a brief amount of time has been wonderful. They have given us hope that we will get to see our daughter go back to doing doing the things she enjoyed before her diagnosis. Highly recommend and can not thank my coworker enough for recommending them!

Dr Mac and his crew do a great job. Their Covid protocols are solid and fluid. They are caring and thorough and not just a quick back crack and out the door. They use multiple techniques to get to the root of your issue. I recommend them highly.

BE AWARE.They DO NOT provide X-ray/CT/or MRI services BEFORE any treatments are started. You will automatically be scheduled for 6-8 weeks of treatments and this is where it begins. You will be told and actually believe in good faith that leaving the office in pain/black and blue and paying for treatments not really needed is all part of the process/cure? However, you will be given an ice pack after each treatment for the ride home.

Be sure to leave the building immediately after your treatment.this way you will not hear what they have to say about you behind your back. Thank You And there it is.my review is justified. The final statement by the owner says it all. I ONLY CAME IN FOR AN EVALUATION AND WOULD NOT HAVE EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TREATMENT TO IMPROVE MY CONDITION. I should have been told THAT DAY PCN could not help me.

I believed in good faith what I was being told and trusted in them. That being said. I was the only patient in the area at the end of the day and the hurtful comments were definitely meant for only me. That being said.a payment plan for the excessive bill of over a $1,000 has been established. Hopefully it will help pay for the 9 Portland Chiropractic Neurology ICE PACKS that are in my freezer. I went into the hyperbaric oxygen chamber yesterday to start my treatment. We signed up for the 40 visits. Everyone was so helpful and willing to answer every question we had. Made sure I was comfortable the entire time. I felt so welcomed from my very first e-mail to the moment I left and I'm looking forward to my next appointment next week!

The Doctors and staff are always so friendly and accommodating that it feels like family. They always greet you with a smile and ask you how you're doing and want to make sure they give you the best possible treatments and experience!

I would highly recommend PCN. The staff is fantastic - from the front desk to clinicians. The treatment is effective - I have suffered from migraines for 30 years averaging 10 - 20 a month. I am now down to 3-5 a month. One of my triggers was barometric pressure - and I can truthfully say I no longer get them.

I was treated 3 years ago for severe migraine at Portland Chiropractic Neurology. About 4 months ago I started to have daily headaches that will turned into migraines so I decided to go back. it has been less than a month since I started my treatment at PCN and my headaches are a lot less frequent and less severe. Also, their staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

I have recently moved to Maine and brought along my back issues, too. Initially, I was seeing a chiropractor that was closer to my home (Poland), but after weeks of treatment, my issues were not improving--in fact, they were getting worse. I had an unexplained atrophy happening in the muscles of my left leg and no "event" to explain onset. I knew it had to be something funky with my nerves.

I decided to go to Portland Chiropractic Neurology because I was hoping that the scope of their practice would correctly identify my issues and provide solutions to recovery. It has been an excellent experience. The staff are amazing--every aspect of care, from insurance to scheduling, waiting room to therapeutics is fantastic. I don't think I've ever been at facility so well equipped and that runs so smoothly.

The doctors (I've been treated by 3) are warm, extremely knowledgeable, deeply competent, and provide a level of personal care that is not governed by a stop watch. That said, during my first visit, the doctor took her time reviewing my issues and performing an evaluation. I received a different diagnosis than my other chiropractors and a new course of treatment.

I felt results in the first week--I am so thankful. I also received a referral for an MRI that revealed issues that require external evaluations. The external communications with surrounding medical facilities is also a smooth process. I can't recommend Portland Chiropractic Neurology enough--their attention to detail and level of care caught issues that would have otherwise continued to deteriorate and dramatically reduce my ability to function. Superior care by excellent professionals who have your back. (HA!).

I've been coming here for years and I've always had a pleasant and warm experience. The people here are very kind and provide the best service. Of course most importantly, I almost always feel better after each adjustment in the long run. I would highly recommend!

The staff is incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. I was nervous to go because some of the treatments seemed invasive, and my body is very sensitive to new treatments, but comfort and understanding is such a huge priority to ever single one of them that getting the help I need is at the pace that is best for my body. I'm respected and treatments are beneficial.

We have had a very positive experience at Portland Chiro. They made efforts to find us an appointment quickly and from our first appointment, we have had a very positive experience. The office staff is extremely friendly and organized. Dr Mac is awesome, very knowledgeable and personable. It's very clear that Dr Mac is invested in every patient and their road to recovery.
