The day my life changed Exactly a year ago, I got hurt by this chiropractor. I trusted the previews reviews, which shows they're not very reliable or maybe can be manipulated to discard the bad ones. At any rate, words cannot begin to describe all the pain I've been in, and the damage caused as a result of her treatment. There's a lot I can say, but at this point, I'd like this review to serve as a warning and caution for anyone else that your neck should never be manipulated. It's been A YEAR and I'm still in pain and might even need surgery and the most important thing I need to be clear about is that I NEVER EVER in my life had any neck pain before and my reason for the consultation was because of pain in my ribs and upper back, which I clearly indicated in my initial intake form with no reference at all to neck pain in any way form or shape.
My accident: I fell forward and felt a sharp pain in my upper back but continued playing tennis other regular physical activities, and three weeks later I felt pain in my RIBS when twisting and then I had major painful spams in my upper back with difficulty lying down. Even after the initial fall and subsequent weeks playing tennis, I DID NOT HAVE any neck pain.
After a few weeks of physical therapy with no relief and unable to find a relative immediate appointment with a specialist, I consulted with this chiropractor, a decision I'll regret forever. She was nice, yes, but was certainly more concerned with fixing my "whole spine" in her long-term plan treatment and that should have been my clue to LEAVE that office, but when you're in pain you trust that someone can help you, so I trusted her.
Why in the world would she use that instrument (arthrostim) on my neck as the first treatment point is beyond me? I was a "sitting duck", even though I was standing as I could not lie down at all, so I was with my back to her when she just went with that thing on my neck. That very same day at night, I had major pain in my neck and told her about it because she wanted me to go the next day.
Her response: Yes! Do come. I'm not surprised because things haven't been moving properly in a while, bla, bla, bla. So I did and had MAJOR neck pain at night. Two days in a row, my neck was manipulated in a harmful way and that was it. Damage done. Therefore, I found myself that in addition to the excruciating pain I had on my ribs and upper back, I added major neck pain, which turned into a nightmare health for me and just thinking about it brings tears to my face.
My neck became stiff as cement and up to this day, I cannot turn my neck without pain among other details which are too painful to keep writing about. On the day of the consultation, she also said to me: "I've never hurt anyone". Well, Gabrielle Freedman, that's something you can never ever say again with a clear conscience to anyone else because you have.

The appointment with Gabrielle was full of lies and clearly wanted to overcharged me for services not delivered. She wanted me to pay her $2500 in advance for 3 months of a "treatment plan" that sounded like fake. Even that I had insurance that cover quiropractic services. Also, she charged me $180 for my first visit and charged the insurance as well. No refund to my credit card yet.

Dr. Freeman is a highly experienced and well trained doctor. She realized how much pain I was in and was able to squeeze me in for an extra appointment. She truly cares about her patients and is willing to go the extra mile to take care of them. Not to mention, I learned a lot about my health and well being that I wasn't even aware of. She has been helping me make slight changes to my lifestyle that have made me feel better and given me more energy. I highly recommend Dr. Freedman to anybody that wishes to improve their health and learn more about how their body is functioning. Two thumbs up!

For anyone that says that Dr Freedman and her staff are a scam, I say that they do not know what quality chiropractic care is. I was a sceptic before my back injury forced me to explore alternative therapies, including physical therapy and acupuncture. None of which worked. After a few days of chiropractic treatments, my pain diminished. After a few weeks of treatments, my pain is gone. Thank heavens for Dr Freedman!

If you want to get scammed, this would be the place to go. Never have I ever experienced a doctor treating me like a small child. When I expressed that costs were going to become too high for me, I was scolded for "making a poor health choice." "$1000 isn't that much if you want to get cured, " she told me. Well, some of us have to consider rent first before we pay out-of-pocket for a chiropractor. Also, I paid for x-rays at this place and asked to pick them up.
When I went to pick them up again, the doctor made my mother wait for over half an hour only to tell her they "cannot be picked up." She says they needed to be retaken because you couldn't see the x-rays. They looked fine to me when I reviewed them with the other chiropractor who was in on her day off. I went back to take these "faulty" x-rays and when I went to pick these up to bring them to my PCP, you couldn't see anything out of them. Really?
So childish. Not to mention when I was retaking them, Dr. Freedman had the worst attitude - slammed doors when they didn't need to be slammed and asked me "what was my plan" like an 18-year-old about to skip college to go join a rock band. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

People are very nice. The Chiropractic practice here is a scam! And yes, I do know what it's like to see a good chiro and that it's a lifestyle etc, but you want it to work. At this point, I have found an amazing PT, a doctor, who is also specialized in spinal manipulation like a chiro but does a very thorough check BY HAND, not a weird plastic thing that an assistant puts on your back.
If you want a chiro that doesn't even touch her patients, you're at the right place. Also, the X RAY machine here is so old that I would not recommend you let them use it on you. It probably has higher radiation, ON YOUR CHEST and spots come up on it that almost look like a tumor but it's just back machinery. This is the ONLY place that made me take uneccesary x rays of my spine and chest for chiropractic.that's a lot of radiation people in a very fragile area of the body, all for her to get your insurance money! I found the BUT Ryan Rehabilitation Center in Boston to be amazing.
