After catching a cold, a series of violent coughs slipped a rib in my upper back. I then spent 23 hours on a plane coming back from asia. Since my regular chiro was closed I decided to try this one by my house. They were able to get me in. After I arrived they told me I needed x rays done. Out of the 5 chiros who have fixed me instantly over the years not one had ever taken x rays, they would just feel along my spine and point out the issues where they found them.
I figured it was some liability issue so I went along with it. They took the pics and was then told by the receptionist / xray woman that it was really messed up and something was going on. When I asked for clarification she left the room. The chiro came in after that and I asked him what was on the x ray, he didnt answer my question and told me to stand by the table while he raised it up.
I got on the table and he lowered it. He felt around and then immediately began pushing on my back. I recognized that his technique was not like my other chiros where there was some twisting with the push in order to align. He was just pushing straight down very lightly. Now normally when I lay down on the table they typically do some relaxing massage, leg hinges or use a vibrating pad to loosen up the surrounding muscle tissue so adjustments can be easily made.
Not this guy, still cold he was just pushing straight down into me absolutely no crack any time he tried. He then raised the table and asked if I was all good. I told him that he hadn't actually done anything and he told me to lay down face up. He then tried cracking my neck both times failed, then raised the table and asked if I was good. Again I told him he didn't do anything.
He then made mention to me that I was super tight, well yeah, you didnt do anything to relax or loosen the muscles at all. He started to get frustrated, but definitely not as frustrated as I was seeing how he didnt even attempt an adjustment on the rib I was complaining about. Finally he had me lay down again and just began pushing on the rib, straight down 5 times in a row with no technique.
He then said he couldn't get it and maybe itll get better with time. At that point I was fed up and left. I called the office and the spoke to the receptionist and asked her of he knew what he was doing, no warm up, not discussing the xrays and using techniques that were never used with 5 other chiros I've had who have all adjusted me within 7 minutes before for 25 bucks.
She immediately got an attitude with me telling me he was number one in the state, and I would be charged still. After getting home a quick google search showed that he wasnt even listed in the states top chiros. Luckily my girlfriend was able to contact one on her way home from work who made a house call. He adjusted me within 5 minus popped it back in and pain is gone.
I literally NEVER write a bad review on any company because as a business owner I know that stuff happens but after today I have to say this guy did not know what he was doing at least in my case. Not sure why the lie about being the best in the state had anything to do with anything but i felt totally scammed and all I got was attitude when I voiced my concerns and hung up on. The call was recorded on my phone so hopefully I can find out how to post it on here as well. The chiro himself was nice but seemed like he was lost and was in a rush.

Dr. Bowers is nice an knowledgeable. I have had such a bad experience working with the staff I couldn't recommend this facility to anyone. Intake is worse than buying a car, time wise. As part of it, they verify your insurance but you sign something saying your ultimately responsible as is pretty typical. But you take their word for it when they tell you that you are covered by your insurance.
During my exam, which no one informed me was NOT covered by my insurance, i was asked to get some xrays while i was there, even though I had existing images available, he explained that he liked to see his own, something I only later found out was also NOT covered by my insurance, if existing images are available. Anyway. After months of not being able to secure regular appointment times or see any real improvement I stop going.
I get notice that a bill for the exam and images is going to collections and the call to get information went less than civil. The woman was so rude And unprofessional I still can't believe someone spoke to me like that. I'm putting it lightly. Also, appointment or not, you'll wait 20 to 40 minutes under flickering florescent lights while listening to oddly loud classic rock.
Bottom line. Doc may be able to help you here and there if you're willing to wait a long time for him at random times but dont trust what they tell you at the counter regarding insurance. I never got help with my pain and now have a large bill they damn well knew wouldn't be covered by my insurance and then yelled at me about it. So many other PROFESSIONAL places out there. Skip this one and go where you will be treated with respect.

Update on being over charged, my insurance company called the billing lady and had to teach her how to properly bill. She has since properly billed and received payment from my insursnce company from all of the times i had to pay out of pocket and yet they still have failed to call me and apologize for their mess up or issue me a refund, now they've been paid twice and the service and results were terrible. Don't waste your time here, there are so many better and professional chiropractic offices in the area.
