City Center Chiropractic and Rehabilitation is a full service clinic located in downtown Chicago that offers a variety of chiropractic and physical medicine techniques in addition to acupuncture to meet the needs of our diverse patient population. Following a consultation and examination, the chiropractors or acupuncturist will establish a treatment plan that will incorporate some, many or all of our services offered to ensure quick and effective care.The most significant aspect of any chiropractic treatment is chiropractic manipulation of the spine or joints of the extremities.
Dr. Miesmer graduated from the National University of Health Sciences ("NUHS") (formerly the National College of Chiropractic) in Lombard, Illinois in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. NUHS provides its students with a science-based curriculum focused on biology, anatomy, physiology and biomechanics.
Chiropractic is a profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal disorders and the effect of these disorders on the nervous system and overall health of a patient. The chiropractic profession emphasizes the natural ability of the body to heal itself and therefore does not include the use of drugs or surgery as treatment techniques.
Our team has had great success in the treatment of both acute and chronic pain and the rehabilitation of many types of injuries. We have therapists certified in the Webster Technique and prenatal massage and offer care throughout all stages of pregnancy. I've been seeing Dr. Meismer as needed for at least 10 years, with sometimes years between visits. She is knowledgeable, highly competent, and effective. My current insurance has limited coverage so I pay out of pocket and her rates are also extremely reasonable. I'm grateful to know she's there for me when my back is out of sorts.

I have received chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture from City Center Chiropractic. The practitioners are evidence-based and can be holistic as well. Dr. Julie Miesmer is open and welcoming and is honest about what she can and cannot do for you - and encourages self-care and exercises. Angie's acupuncture is helpful, and she is informative about holistic ways to treat issues and offers supplements.
I have recommended Dr. Julie to a number of friends and family; most of them still see her as needed. My husband sees her as well, and he receives much-needed chiropractic and physical therapy assistance for over a decade now.

I received acupuncture at city center chiropractic back in 4/2013.at least that is what my bill that I received in the mail with statement date 9/8/2016. This is ridiculous. I have new insurance, new bank accounts, etc. now this will be a chore to look into. I do remember them having a "billing" problem back when I was receiving services and my acupuncturist assuring me that she would clear things up.
I can't even fully remember the conversation. Keep your receipts! Updated post: since posting this I received a call and an email letting me know that they would not be collecting any additional payments from me for services and asked that I removed and/or update my review. I have since updated my review from a one star to a three star.
