We had just had a big snow and i shoveled myself out. I completely threw my back out and couldn't stand up straight. I went to the regular doctor where they gave me 2 medications that I almost accidentally overdosed and passed out on the kitchen floor (STILL IN GREAT PAIN) Then I remembered my colleagues wife had a chiropractic practice near our job.

I went there and Rhonda was like MAGIC! She fixed my back so I could go back to work. Then i came back a day later for one final treatment and I was completely fixed. I felt renewed and blessed to find someone like her! Its a great place to come with healing hands, expertise and energy!

Ronda and her team are the best, such a pleasant office. My body was all out of sorts do to my job as eyelash technician, and my mis judgement of my flexibility of my 40yr old body on a trampoline. I lived with my body being misaligned for a yr. Finally I gave in and saw Ronda, I have to say that you don't know how much discomfort you live with until you are adjusted & your world is a new! I feel limber and awesome, and can't Thank her & her team enough forgetting me straight. Pun intended, lol.

Dr Butler works her magic. She was my husbands chiropractor before we were married, and he always raved about her. I always had backpain but didnt think much of it. My husband told me to give it a shot, and the first adjustment was amazing! I remember telling my husband I felt like I was walking on the moon afterwards. Both of us love Dr Butler. She is so sweet, sincere, and caring. You know you've got a good doctor when she remembers things you talked about at prior appointments!

I am looking for a new GP and was on yelp looking up doctors and thought I'd give a shout to Dr. Butler and her team while I was on here. I've been going here for about 4 years and they're top notch. Very straight forward, friendly, organized, informed, and can cover a range of services. She won't sell you on a billion things you don't need, and her adjustments are not agressive or painful.

She manages to fix things I didn't even know chriopractors were meant to fix! I went in once and mentioned that my right big toe kinda hurt when I walked.she did a little manipulation and magically it was better! I also see Donna, the massage therapist, and really get a lot out of her work as well. She knows a lot about physical therapy and can help you with exercises and therapies you can do at home to aid in your recovery.

My insurance has never been a problem. They are organized and timely and bill me when I need to be billed and they've even let me set up a monthly payment plan one year when I was seeing Donna a lot and it made everything so smooth and seamless. I keep wanting to bring them cake or brownies to thank them for what they do, but then I realize they're into health and so I refrain. :-

Dr. Butler is fantastic. I have been going to her for a number of years. And while many Chiropractors try to get you in as many times as possible, that is truly not her goal. She sets you on a plan to get you in a good place, and then tells you to come when you are able to ongoing adjustments. Such a refreshing approach. She is fully knowledgable on her practice. Chiropractic, acupuncture, reiki, you name it. I'm continually impressed.

When the occasion has come when I've had an injury, she is easy to get hold of, quick to see you, and adept at diagnosing the issue and setting you back to tip-top shape. Her and her assistant are also forthcoming on insurance and checking what is or what is not covered. I highly recommend her for your chiropractic needs.

Ronda Butler is one of the best in the city. I recommend her to my friends and family. Without exception everyone agrees she is a cut above the rest. She is gentle and gets results. If your neck, back, shoulders, knees hurt she will address your pain. She truly cares about your total health.

Went to visit Ronda Butler today based on the recommendation of a friend. The office is located on a random strip of bars/restaurants on Halsted but is nicely appointed and impeccably clean. I was just in town visiting (my regular chiropractor is in LA) but I was really impressed with Dr. Butler. She's really easy to talk to, approachable, and thorough.

She takes her time with you. Her method of adjustment was slightly different than what I was used to but it was effective just the same. I will definitely come back for an adjustment when I'm in town another time. As for the reviewer with the insurance issue - for any "alternative" therapy, it's always a good idea to check with your insurance company first, since coverage levels vary widely, particularly if you are out of network.

Hmm, I don't know about that other review because my experience at Butler was a good one. I went in on a recommendation after I pulled my back out. My first visit was easygoing and straightforward. Questions, paperwork, Xrays, etc. Then the back adjustments and acupuncture began. Definitely an improvement. The doctor was excellent in explaining all my nerdy questions of "why are you doing this to my neck?" or "How do you know which vertebrae is jacked up?" I decided to go back a few more times so I could feel the full effects of the adjustments and fix my body and I notice a difference in terms of my usual daily aches and pains. Overall a great service.

I've been going to Butler Chiropractic on and off for about a decade now. I've had any number of issues that Dr. Butler has resolved or at least improved, including: upper back pain, lower back pain, knee pain, and a horribly strained neck (on new years eve, and she was open!) Dr. Butler always explains everything thoroughly, and even worked things out with me (fairly, I'd like to think) when I had no insurance and had to pay out of pocket.

From ultrasound to heat and electro-stim, Dr. Butler uses a lot of modern technology to aid the ease and success of adjustments and help her patients overall health. Regarding the poster complaining about insurance and being charged past the co-pay: I had good insurance for a few years and never had an issue with paying anything past my deductible (unless I was buying a pillow or nutrients or something not covered), but my current insurance forces me to pre-qualify everything from MRI to CT to "you name it". Things being how they are with my insurance provider, I'm still not aware of any insurance providers that limit xray procedures or require a pre-qual on that, and I am on my wife's insurance w/CPS, and they are sticklers for just about everything and send out forms, etc., all the time to make sure I wasn't in an accident, etc., before paying providers. Still, they don't limit payment on xrays.

The only thing I can think of is that you had a deductible that wasn't fully paid in yet for the year on a PPO (or perhaps you went out of network). An HMO would have just covered the xrays, unless you went out of network with no referral. In any case, I don't think it's productive or fair to blame the Doctor's office for charging you.

They probably had no choice and have to keep the lights on like any other business. Did you call to try to find out what happened? Sometimes insurance companies goof and the onus is on the patient to straighten things out (I've lost track of how many times that has happened to me *this year alone*).

I had to think about writing this review; I went to Butler Chiropractic over two years ago. Recently a friend of mine shared a similar experience he had so, I guess things haven't changed and this experience is worth sharing.here goes: Went to Butler Chiropractic for some neck and upper back pain. Very nicely laid out space with a parking lot, clean, professional, etc.

After I had filled out the paperwork and given my insurance info to the doc's assistant, the doc gave an initial consultation and recommendation. She said something to the effect, "It's great your insurance covers chiropractic." What she didn't tell me was the limit insurance would cover. Being an idiot (uninformed consumer), I took every recommendation: xray of my spine and back, acupuncture, head/neck/back adjustments, pretty much everything.

I leave feeling good, not great, and pay my $20 co-pay. A week later I get a bill from Butler Chiropractic for neatly $500. I have since been to other chiro practices that list their prices clearly at check in. It may not be the case now, however when I went to Butler Chiropractic, their was no indication of services provided or the costs. I recognize that, as the patient, it is my responsibility to be informed on my insurance provider's limits. I feel, however, that I was taken advantage of and, to use a car salesman analogy, sold the undercoating. Not cool.
